Dr Darko Maričević

Dr Darko MaricevicDarko Maričević graduated with a first-class honours degree in Archaeology (BA) from the University of Reading in 1999. He then spent six years working for Oxford Archaeology on a wide range of excavation projects spanning all periods of the human past. In 2005 he returned to the University of Reading to undertake his PhD studies, which focused on the Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age settlement on the islands of Coll and Tiree in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.

Since 2008, Darko has been involved with the AHRC-funded WF16 Project, conducted by the University of Reading and the Council for British Research in the Levant, which involved the excavation of an important Pre-Pottery Neolithic A settlement at Wadi Faynan in southern Jordan. During the last two years, he has been co-writing the results of this excavation, whilst continuing to pursue both independent and collaborative research in the Hebrides.

Darko is a member of the CinBA Pottery Research Team and he is focusing on spatial and temporal trends in pottery.
