Dr Karen Yair

Dr Karen Yair is a freelance consultant and scholar. Formerly Research and Information Manager at the Crafts Council, she has substantial experience of working within both the public and academic sectors in roles incorporating project management, research and public engagement. She also has academic expertise in the craft and design field and brings to CinBA a particular interest in the significance of both tacit and critical/experiential crafts knowledge. She is currently collaborating with Dr Jo Sofaer on a volume exploring the role of the past in contemporary crafts practice as part of the CinBA Project.
